Me and my body have been on a journey of recovery of post pregnancy. First, I began working on improvements in the diet department. Although I struggle everyday, the longer I eat healthier food, the more I crave vegetables and better quality meats. I absolutely love fast food but I really do appreciate home cooked meals now too. A few days ago I ventured to the gym. It was the first time in about a year (I know for sure I hadn't been in the 8.5 mos since my daughter was born). I took a dance areobics class called Groove. Today I went back to the gym...yeah! The class today was called Power and I am Beat! Lifting weights in that class was a challenge in more ways than just physical. Knowing a class like that used to be easy and seeing my pale lumpy body in the mirror was kind of a rude awakening. In my head I am still physically the person I was 3.5yrs ago. I know my journey to a healthy life is still long but I am trying to be happy I started the journey now and not years down the road.
